Once you've entered a listing in connectMLS, it is vital that you go into SmartMLS Offers and add the seller to the listing. Offers cannot be accepted through the platform until seller information has been added.
Note: New listings do not appear within SmartMLS Offers immediately after they're added to the MLS. It takes about 20-30 minutes for listing information to propagate to SmartMLS Offers. This update cycle also applies to changes that are made to existing listings.
Go to the Current Properties section on the right side of the Offers Dashboard and click on the desired listing. If you do not see the listing on the Dashboard, click the View All button to display all your listings:
After selecting the listing, click the three dots beneath the bottom right corner of the photo, then click Edit Seller Info:
When the Seller/Owner Information screen displays, click either Add Seller or Add New to start entering the seller's information:
Enter the seller's information and click Save:
There are not sepearate fields for the seller's first and last names. Make sure to enter both in the Full Legal Name field. By doing so, the seller's full legal name will appear on the rendered contract when an offer is accepted.
That brings you back to the Seller/Owner Information screen, allowing you to review the information you just entered:
If you need to make any changes, click the Edit button.
Now that the seller's information has been added to the listing, offers can be managed through the SmartMLS Offers platform.
It's a good idea to repeat these steps to add any attorney and/or escrow agent involved in the transaction of this property. They will automatically receive a copy of the completed contract once it's been signed by all participants.
